Actinic Keratosis The Woodlands
WHAT IT IS
Actinic keratosis are rough, scaly lesions that can be found on the skin. They are usually seen in older adults and occur from years of sun exposure and sun damage. They are most commonly seen on the face, lips, ears, hands, arms, scalp, or the neck. A very small percentage of these lesions can become skin cancers. Therefore, these lesions are considered pre-cancerous.
