Unlike traditional tattooing, medical cosmetic tattooing conceals skin imperfections. With a combination of micro-pigments selected to blend with your natural skin tone, our world-class team can disguise an array of skin flaws and conditions. Our cosmetic tattoo scar treatments can be performed to conceal any of the following issues:

  • Alopecia
  • Vitiligo
  • Burns
  • Stretch marks
  • Hypopigmentation (white patches)
  • Skin imperfections
  • Surgical Scars

What is medical tattooing?

Medical tattooing for skin and scar camouflage is a type of cosmetic tattoo treatment that uses a variety of flesh tone pigments to disguise a scar or an area of the skin that is missing its natural color. The specialists who perform all medical tattoo procedures must understand the science behind pigments, the physiology of the human skin, and have an artist’s eye for matching skin tones. Medical tattooing may be called paramedical tattooing, cosmetic tattooing, medical or paramedical micropigmentation, semi-permanent or permanent makeup.

What kind of results can I expect from medical tattooing?

Medical tattooing is not permanent, but the results can last up to a year or more. We recommend an initial treatment plan of two to three tattoo sessions to achieve desired results, along with annual touch-ups to maintain the color.

It is important to note that medical tattooing cannot completely erase a scar or major skin imperfection, but it can make them far less noticeable. The medical tattooing process requires time and patience, but it can have remarkable results.

Will medical tattooing work for me?

Not all conditions and skin types will benefit from medical tattooing. If your skin imperfection is related to port wine stains, birthmarks, spider veins, freckles, age spots, under-eye hyperpigmentation, or unstable vitiligo, our team may be able to recommend an alternative treatment. You might be an excellent candidate for medical tattooing if:

  • Your scar or skin imperfection is smooth and primarily flat.
  • Your scar is healed and no longer pink or changing color.
  • Your scar does not have a dark parameter.
