What Should I Expect During the Procedure?
The first step toward undergoing Lipo 360 will be having a consultation with Dr. Lind. During this consultation, he will ask you about your goals for the procedure as well as your medical history.
When the surgery begins, you will most likely be given general anesthesia. However, in some cases, a combination of IV sedation and local anesthesia may be used. Next, Dr. Lind will make tiny incisions around the midsection where excess fat is being targeted. He will then use the chosen method of loosening the fat cells, which may involve ultrasound waves or injecting a tumescent solution. Finally, Dr. Lind will use a special surgical vacuum system to suction out the fat through a narrow cannula.
Once the excess fat has been removed all around the midsection, the incisions will be closed with sutures. In total, the procedure typically takes between one and four hours.
How Long Is the Recovery Time?
You will be able to go home on the same day of your Lipo 360 procedure. You will need to wear a compression garment for about six weeks to prevent fluid from accumulating. It’s normal to experience swelling and bruising for the first few weeks after the surgery, and Dr. Lind will prescribe you pain medication. You should be able to return to light work within a few days and to normal work and exercise in three to six weeks.
