What are the different types of implants available?

Saline

Saline implants are filled with sterilized saltwater and can be inserted empty through very small incisions. In the event of rupture, the saline solution is harmlessly absorbed by the body and discarded as waste. Saline implants are FDA-approved for patients over 18 years of age.

Silicone

Silicone implants contain silicone gel inside a silicone shell. They typically are chosen for their highly natural look and feel. Women will need to undergo regular ultrasound or MRI testing to ensure there is no leakage since a ruptured silicone implant is difficult to detect. Silicone implants are approved by the FDA for women over the age of 22.

Gummy bear

Gummy bear implants are made with a form-stable, cohesive gel that allows them to hold their shape even if the outer shell is compromised. Gummy bears are firmer than conventional silicone implants and have an attractive teardrop shape that many women find highly authentic.
